Morris Hospital is a friendly, neighborhood vet clinic that
is
privately owned by Dr. Kathy Morris.
Dr. Morris is so extremely compassionate and caring for all animals
that she has set up the Hospital's own little stray center. Our center
takes in a few stray animals that the facility has room for, provides
them with complete medical care, and we hope to grant them a new chance
at a happy life.
We are able to do this with Funds donated from compassionate clients as
well as with out annual fund raiser and raffles held throught the year.
See below for a recent story of how your funds are at work. Morris
Hospital also works with a
Retired Greyhound and Westie Rescue Group.

Please check out our adoptables list/and rescue successes on PetFinder!
We often have pets that need good homes. All of
the animals have received a full physical examination, and are current
on all age appropriate vaccinations. Below are pictures of the animals
we currently have up for adoption. Keep in mind that all adoptions are
subject to approval by Morris Hospital and a small fee will apply.
Please give us a call if you have any questions about the pets below,
or the adoption process.
YOUR DONATIONS AT WORK:
"Smokey," an approximately 9-10 month old domestic short hair cat was
presented to Morris Hospital for Veterinary Services on Saturday,
January 9 for a possible broken right front leg. The owner told us that
the cat had been inappropriately urinating in the house, and that her
husband had hit/pushed him with a broom the previous night, after which
the cat had run under a bed.
On
physical examination the right front leg was severely swollen and a
fracture was palpated in the humerus (upper arm bone). Surgical repair
or amputation were offered, but, the owner could not afford either. She
was very upset about the kitty, and angry with her husband. We
suggested that "Smokey" be signed over to us and we would have the leg
repaired and find him a home. His feline leukemia and feline AIDS test
were both negative. A large dose of pain medication was administered,
and he will be maintained on pain medication until surgery. He
will also be neutered. After "Smokey" recovers he will be
looking for a forever home.
